The trials and tribulations of having an LJ account

Ok folks, I know there are lot of you out there who are contemplating on jumping ship and going to DW, since LJ has been undergoing a serious series of DDoS attacks. I have no such plan in mind, and I kindly thank those who have offered me a DW voucher, but I intend to dig in my heels and renew my account. This is not only a show of support for LJ, but as a matter of free speech, since it appears that the DDoS attacks are politically motivated and are targeting specific blogs which remain critical of specific governments. i am not leaving Lj. i am however using my DW account to back up my LJ posts and information..... which i actually do suggest , if for no other reason than to make it easier to RECOVER an Lj account if a attack managed to do some serious issues.

Like fabricdragon, I'm maintaining a DW account as a backup and bolthole, but I'm not planning to leave LJ (at least not as long as there is an LJ to not leave).

At some point I may decide to start posting from DW with an automatic crosspost to LJ, but I'll still do the majority of my reading here.
